Setting up your first bot

Setup takes about five minutes. Sign in and open the Setup page (you'll land there automatically after choosing a plan).

Step 1 — Tell us about your business

• Enter your business name — this names your bot and appears in the chat header.
• Write a short description of what you do and sell. A couple of sentences is plenty; the bot uses this to introduce your business correctly.
• Pick a tone: Friendly, Professional, or Casual — how the bot should sound.

Step 2 — Add your website (recommended)

Enter your website address, tick the box confirming you have the right to scan it, and click Scan My Website. IaHaI reads your pages and builds a profile of your business — products, prices, policies, contact details — so the bot answers from your real content.

Step 3 — Upload documents (optional)

Add PDF, TXT, or CSV files: FAQs, price lists, policies, product sheets. Everything you upload becomes part of what the bot knows.

Step 4 — Save and launch

Save your bot, and you'll land on your dashboard. From there, use Test chat to try it out yourself, then follow the Embed tab to put it on your website — see How to add the widget to your website.
