Adding your website and documents
What the website scan does
When you scan your website, IaHaI visits your pages and extracts the useful content — what you sell, prices, opening hours, policies, contact info. That content becomes part of your bot's knowledge, so answers reflect your actual business instead of guesses.
What the bot learns from
- Your business description from setup
- The website scan results
- Documents you upload (PDF, TXT, or CSV — FAQs, price lists, policies)
- Corrections you teach it over time (these always win over everything else)
Knowledge limits
Your bot's knowledge holds up to roughly 24,000 characters of combined content (about 8–10 pages of text). If you add more, the most useful parts are kept and summarized. Tip: focused content (a good FAQ, a clear price list) beats volume.
If your website can't be scanned
Some websites use heavy bot-protection (for example, large retail platforms behind Cloudflare or CAPTCHA) that blocks automated access. If the scan is blocked, your bot simply answers from the content you provide at setup instead — so write a fuller description, upload your product info as documents, and use teaching corrections. Your bot works great either way.
You can re-scan anytime from Setup — for example after you update your website. Fresh scans replace the previous website content.
